Ukraine is confidently building its wine culture — in bars, tasting rooms, and local enotecas. We’ve gathered eight atmospheric wine bars in Kyiv, Lviv, Dnipro, Kharkiv, and Uzhhorod that focus on quality, local producers, and the culture of communication.

If you want to try Ukrainian wines, discover new flavors, or simply spend a cozy evening with a glass — explore our selection.

“SyroVyna”

“SyroVyna” is a wine bar and club in the center of Uzhhorod, located next to the cathedral. It combines three formats at once: a shop for those who want to take a bottle home; a wine bar where a glass can become the plan for the evening; and a tasting space for themed events.

They regularly host meetings with winemakers, presentations of local brands, lectures, wine games, and small chamber festivals. The team treats wine with the attention of a collector and the curiosity of a researcher.

The main highlight is wine: the menu includes over 350 positions. Zakarpattia wines hold a special place, but the selection is not limited to the region — Ukrainian producers and hundreds of international labels are also represented. Local snacks accompany the drinks.

“SyroVyna” promotes the culture of communication, so visitors are asked not to work on laptops. The establishment focuses on wine, service quality, and an intimate atmosphere ideal for evenings with company or tastings.

Address: Uzhhorod, Dukhnovycha St., 23
Prices (125 ml): Shosh Blend — 130 UAH; Château Chizay Furmint, white dry aged — 120 UAH; Krytsky Winemaker Traminer Orange, dry — 100 UAH

Artania

Artania is a wine bar on Khoriva Street created by the team behind the Ukrainian winery Beykush. Its name comes from the signature wine line Artania from Mykolaiv region.

The bar focuses on local wines: you’ll find unique selections from Odesa, Podillia, Lviv region, Zakarpattia, Chernihiv region, Kyiv region and other winemaking areas. You can order wine by the glass or bottle, and also take it home at a special price.

Simple pairings are offered with the wine list: crunchy bruschetta, salads, local cheese and snack platters, and hot dishes. The intimate wine space near Kontraktova Square makes Artania a good spot for both tastings and slow evenings with a glass in hand.

Address: Kyiv, Khoriva St., 25/12
Prices (750 ml bottle): Bisser Brut White, Kolonist — 1450 UAH; Barbaryska Rkatsiteli Dry, Bohdan’s winery — 1200 UAH; Enigma Dry, Vinoman — 2250 UAH

ZWIN

ZWIN is a Lviv wine bar aimed at developing wine-drinking culture. It features a wine machine with four positions, allowing guests to taste wine at more affordable prices and without unnecessary packaging.

They host tastings, lectures, meet-ups with winemakers, and professional events. The wine list contains over 250 positions, around 70 of which are Ukrainian wines.

There are two locations: a small, intimate one at Vynnychenka 12, and a larger one at Kulparkivska 200A.

Addresses: Lviv, Vynnychenka St., 12; Kulparkivska St., 200
Prices (100 ml): Citronnyy Magaracha 2024, Zelenytsi — 150 UAH; Sukholymanske 2024, Frumushika-Nova — 150 UAH; Chardonnay Grand Reserve 2018, Shabo — 180 UAH; Telti Kuruk Reserve 2023, Shabo — 150 UAH

WINOVNIK

Winovnik is a place where the idea of “wine + food” is perceived as a separate culture. They work with local ingredients, support Ukrainian producers, and seek honest food-and-wine pairings — without pretentiousness, but with respect for flavor.

The establishment holds two Wine Spectator awards and focuses on a carefully curated wine list.

There aren’t many Ukrainian wines by the glass, but there are over ten bottle options worth discovering alongside their dishes. The philosophy is simple: wine does not exist separately — it shines when paired with perfectly designed cuisine.

Address: Dnipro, Dmytra Yavornytskoho Ave., 53A
Prices (50 ml): Sichel Bordeaux Blanc, white — 80 UAH; Roberto Sarotto Barbera d’Alba Elena, red — 147 UAH; Terra Pura Carmenere Single Vineyard, red — 70 UAH

Supra

Supra is a neo-bistro in the Bursa Hotel combining local cuisine with a selection of Ukrainian wines. The format is laid-back: no loud tastings, but a wine list focused on small local wineries from different regions.

The menu features farm products, seasonal fruits, and light signature dishes that create harmony with the wines.

The wine list includes Pet Nat by Gigi Winery, white Riesling by Vinoman, rosé Rose Square by Fathers Wine, and red Saperavi by Stakhovsky.

A great spot for a calm evening with Ukrainian wines in the format of a modern city bistro.

Address: Kyiv, Kostyantynivska St., 11
Prices (125 ml): Lunaria Ancestrale Malvasia Orange — 270 UAH; Rose Square (Fathers Wine, rosé, Jupiter grape) — 160 UAH; Portuga Casa Lima (red, Cabernet Sauvignon / Syrah / Castelão / Touriga Franca) — 160 UAH

“Vintage Bureau”

A former antique shop in a 19th-century two-story estate has become one of Kharkiv’s most atmospheric wine bars. Everything here recalls the past: old buffets, antique shop items, a quiet courtyard-terrace. This intimacy naturally aligns with wine culture.

Ukrainian wine is present selectively but thoughtfully: Leleka Wine, Stakhovsky Wines, My Wine by Eduard Gorodetsky, Kolonist, and sparkling wine from Artwinery — the Bakhmut-based producer that survived occupation and destruction.

You can enjoy a glass on the terrace or take a bottle home. “Vintage Bureau” resembles small European wine bars: the owner herself often works behind the counter, and regulars fill the tables.

They host festivals, workshops, gatherings, charity events, and most importantly — Ukrainian wine tastings that often convert skeptics into fans of local winemakers.

Address: Kharkiv, Teatralnyi Ln., 21/23
Prices (150 ml): Vina Esmeralda (white, dry, Spain; Gewürztraminer, Moscatel, 11.5%) — 160 UAH; Troia (red, dry, Italy; Nero di Troia, 13%) — 180 UAH; Azevihno Vinho Verde (rosé, semi-dry, Portugal; Vinhão, Azal Tinto, Borraçal, 10%) — 100 UAH

Vinoteca Praha

A restaurant with true Lviv charm in the heart of the city — at the quiet intersection of Hnatyuka and Kurbas. Vinoteca Praha combines cuisine with history, respect for wine, and the coziness of the old town.

The wine list features over 400 positions, including Ukrainian producers. Tastings and winemaker meet-ups regularly expand the assortment and introduce guests to new wineries. A sommelier helps choose a bottle — from Old World classics to local experiments.

A hallmark of the venue is Pan Lukash by the entrance. The copper sculpture by Lviv artist Oleh Davydenko has become a symbol of Vinoteca Praha, reminding visitors of gastronomic stories brought from travels.

This is a place for those who value a leisurely evening with a glass of wine, old architecture, a chamber atmosphere, and attentive service maintained at high standards for two decades.

Address: Lviv, Hnatyuka St., 8
Prices (150 ml): Villa Antinori Toscana, white (Italy) — 300 UAH; Rose d’Anjou Pierre Chainier, semi-dry rosé (France) — 220 UAH; Château du Terme, dry red (France) — 250 UAH

“Lyo”

The “Lyo” wine bar and shop is a compact space on Velyka Zhytomyrska, inspired by small European enotecas. Here you can choose a bottle to take home or enjoy a glass right by the shelf — a format that is steadily becoming a new wine culture in Kyiv.

The focus is on wine selection: over a dozen wines are available by the glass, and there is a special list of rare and unique wines that is continually updated. Bottles can be taken to go or ordered in the hall with a cork fee.

Light snacks and small plates accompany the wine — from sardines with charred lime to charcuterie boards. “Lyo” also serves coffee from CafeBoutique and pastries from Pate, making it a convenient spot for a leisurely break in the center.

The atmosphere is simple and attentive: an excellent wine selection, several tables, and a pet-friendly format.
