A date outside a restaurant is a way not only to change the usual сценарий but also to discover new places in Ukraine.

For this selection, we gathered locations where the romantic atmosphere is created not by candles and menus, but by architecture, art, history, landscapes, and the very format of the journey. Among them are a winery in the Odesa region, the estate of Ivan Franko, sacred places in the Lviv and Ternopil regions, and an unusual house-museum in Lutsk.

A date at the Artwinery production facility in the Odesa region

The sparkling passion of Bakhmut cannot be broken or occupied—just like your love. We are talking about the largest sparkling wine production in Eastern Europe and the only one in Ukraine using the classic French method. It used to mature in the salt mines of Bakhmut—now near Odesa.

On this date, you will immerse yourselves in the romantic and heroic story of premium Ukrainian sparkling wine, observing the entire production cycle, strolling through art galleries located 72 meters underground, and most importantly—tasting everything hand in hand.

An exquisite date at the Franko estate

In an old villa on the outskirts of Lviv, which once served as the home of Ivan Franko, art, beauty, and love still flourish. In addition to memorial items, there are romantic garden spots with a magnolia tree and art spaces. That is how Ivan himself envisioned it.

So, can you find a greater genius and romantic in Ukrainian culture? And it was somewhere in the corners of this estate that the poet’s passionate lines were born: “I do not know what draws me to you, What has enchanted me so, That whenever I look at your face, My heart longs for something like happiness and freedom…”

Invite your loved one to this house of poetry, and for the most refined declaration of love, take inspiration from a collection of Franko’s poems.

A date by the relics of Saint Valentine in the Lviv region

Did you know that in Ukraine, in the town of Sambir, authentic relics of Saint Valentine are kept in the Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary? Not all of them, but part of the skull. On February 14, the relics are brought out for veneration—it is a day of deep prayer for love.

However, you can and should pray for love and ask for it from Saint Valentine all year round. A date that begins with a journey through the depths of the Lviv region and culminates in veneration of the relics of the world’s foremost patron of love will surely be exceptional and memorable for a lifetime.

A date at the Church of the Mother of God, Saint Rosary, and Saint Stanislaus in Chortkiv, Ternopil region

In a charming and stylish town with a uniquely enchanting atmosphere stands perhaps the most majestic Roman Catholic church in Ukraine, home to the miraculous Chortkiv Icon of the Mother of God. Its history began as early as 1610 with the construction of a monastery for the Dominicans. In ancient times, it served as a fortified structure and protected locals—even from Mongol-Tatar raids. It is a perfect place to admire Neo-Gothic architecture and ask God to protect your love from hardship.

Head to this church with your loved one in the evening—the sunset above it is especially stunning, and elegant lighting is switched on. Or visit during a Sunday service—an organ will be playing.

A date at the Sculptor Holovan’s House in Lutsk

One of the most unusual architectural landmarks, included in the TOP 5 most extravagant buildings in Ukraine. And it is modern.

The Sculptor’s House is the tallest building on the banks of the Stryi River in the “Old Lutsk” historical and cultural reserve. Visiting it with your loved one, you will enjoy an eclectic architectural space that combines antiquity, Baroque, and Gothic styles.

The author of this masterpiece, Mykola Holovan, lived in this house himself, but unfortunately passed away shortly before the full-scale invasion. Now the house has become a museum. Exploring its rooms and wandering through the courtyard filled with dozens of sculptures by the genius is priceless: art makes our lives and love incredibly beautiful.
